There’s nothing wrong with ads causing a bit of controversy usually, but…

when it comes to politics, most brands decide to stay away. Which seems to have been exactly the case of this ad pitched by Y&R Argentina to a few brands before it was bought and aired by who else, the quite beligerant (these days at least) and quite controversial current Argentine presidency. Using the Olympics as a pretext and the commemoration of the Falkland / Malvinas Islands war as the occasion and famous athlete / veteran as protagonist, no wonder this ad has cause quite a stir (and reprimand from WPP head himself towards the agency).
